Both regular glasses and sunglasses wearers know that wearing glasses in the sun may cause glare. While this isn’t the case with plastic sunglasses lenses, it often is for glass sunglasses lenses. To someone looking at a pair of polarized sunglasses, the appearance of the lenses appears more matte, but the matte appearance alone doesn’t reduce the glare.
